Rizzles vs. Swan Queen.

"I did not expect that" (Rizzoli & Isles, 5x12)

In a recent article, Jan Nash was asked about the summer finale and said that “we really wanted to do something that would encourage our audience to be excited about coming back and leave them saying ‘Oh, my goodness, I did not expect that.’”

Well, if this were baseball, Nash would be batting .500 and be declared a winner. But this isn’t baseball, and there are no winners here.

Yes, I did not expect that, but no, I am not excited about coming back. Not at all.

Before I explain why, let’s introduce today’s sponsor.

Thank you, normanbuckley. I hope you and the crew got some nice cash for that. I stopped counting after the umpteenth mention of DD on Twitter. I’m glad you guys found yet another product placement venue.

Well, let’s get to business. The short version:

On the plus side
Some good cinematography within the limits of the show.
Someone remembered Season 1 (plumbing, yay).

On the minus side
Most of this episode is ready to be flushed down the toilet.

Score: 4/10

More details after the [Read More] break – sorry for all the scrolling in my last reviews; I forgot about that option.
